Those things are usually shared at meetings involving the Chamber of Commerce, Committee of 50 and other civic organizations, simply because more people can be reached that way, who might be in a position to start those wheels rolling.

Construction began on the low water crossing... I knew because the city diverted all the traffic into a dead end street... So when it became too congested the 4x4 pickup that drove across the front lawn kinda got my attention..

Top of H near the high school had a sign.. Work Ahead.
Not DEAD END
Not NO OUTLET
Not DETOUR

All the way down at the uncrossible low water crossing was one detour sign
Putting them into a dead end street.

Genius...

This afternoon I couldn't take it anymore and went to the street department
The sorry story has me laughing
They only have 4 detour signs and someone stole three of them...

And I believe that....? nah!

I believe they are Pranking defenseless teenagers. It might have been fun today but I have to put up with them all week until they put up the other two detour signs or just block entry entirely...
Jeez

of stolen signs. You could go pick out what you need! LOL

That is just too funny MKPA! They really detoured the traffic onto a dead end road, are you kidding me?

Road sign theft is a bigger problem than most people realize and the cost to replace the missing signs isn't cheap.

I'd like to think the county is gonna send someone over to check what's there with their list of names. Could likely save a bunch of time and money.

I'd also like to think there will be some stiff penalties coming down for these, since it costs the taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars every year.

I guess some of these dips just like stealing so much they steal street signs. Of course, they are to stupid to understand replacing the signs can get very expensive. It's like they don't give any consideration to doing this kind of stuff, it's all in fun until they get caught and the law puts a boot in their rear end.

Considering the hundreds of signs stolen, we sure haven't put a boot in very many rear ends. This needs to cost 'em. Putting them in jail won't help - they need enough of a fine to assure that they won't be getting a tax refund for several years down the road.

The ones that steal the signs need to replace them. That includes cost and labor. It is very frustrating to get a call from a company that you have ordered from to hear that your package can not be delivered because there is not a street sign.
