My friend did not live in a flood zone until the city did some work in her backyard. THEY made the mess and it was up to her to fix the problem. What happen with her was the city came into her backyard and put a pipe in to drain the water instead of it flowing though the big, deep concrete ditch that was already there. The pipe did not handle all of the water and it flowed into her garage and into her basement.

Sounds like the city cause that not your friend. I think I would be fighting like crazy over that. However, not being directly involved in the situation, I may not have all the facts. I've learned through time not to always believe everything you say marge! (hahahahaha), I was just kidding marge. But it does sound like the city may have cause her problems.

The city should be held responsible the way it sounds.

My friend no longer owns the property. As far as we can tell, the problem is still there. She fought with the city and did not receive any help, unless you call putting some
hay bales in her yard to divert the water. lol

Just so you know....99.9% of the time I am just kidding.
I hoped you would laugh when you read my post.

Hard to read expressions on here. FYI I am almost always
smiling.
