Here is a shooting that happened last September 15th in Illinois.
Judge Patrick O'Shea accidentally fired a short barreled Smith&wesson 38 in his apartment in Wheaton,Illinois.
The bullet went through a mirror, the wall and into the next apartment. No one was home next door so there were no injuries just some property damage
The neighbors told police they found what looked like a spent bullet on September 24th on their living room floor plus there was damage to a wall which they took photos of.
The police talked to the shooter the judge who tried to lie his way out of it he said he accidentally put a screwdriver through the wall while hanging a mirror, then he tried to blame his son using a pneumatic nail gun.
He finally told them that he was dry firing his handgun and it went off causing the damage.
He was arrested and taken to jail where he posted bail and part of the bail agreement was he had to turn in all his weapons, ammunition his conceal and carry permit and his Illinois firearm owner identification card.
He was charged with reckless conduct, however charges were dropped five months later by a judge from another county who was hearing the case.
He said since no one was home when this incident happened it was not reckless conduct.
