Default Now that I might truly need it...

My truck has 4 wheel drive, except you couldn't prove it by me. When we put it in 4wd, the crank shaft (not sure that is what it is called, but it is the thingy that turns the wheels on the truck) turns, but the wheels don't actually engage.
We got a new magnetic thingy ma bob that is supposed to make the wheels engage (looks like a giant spark plug to me, but what do I know, not much obviously), but while we were under there, we noticed that a wire had been cut that goes to the thingy ma bob. Does this wire have anything to do with it?

Sounds like you need one of them do-hickeys to fix that thingy ma bob...I don't know, I am probably less mechanically-inclined than you are...

You are cracking me up! I don't know, I am pretty disinclined mechanically.

I figured maybe someone would know what to do, I am going to go look for a schematic on the net, maybe I will get lucky!
