As far as changing patterns of clothing they better be spending the money for enlisting more troops and keeping the one's we have.
He sure did - and seeing him rewarded for it makes me wonder why ANY of our soldiers would be particularly interested in dying for their commander in chief. If there's no penalty for walking off your post, why stay and do it? And if there's no penalty even in a war zone, surely desertion would be even less onerous stateside .... we can all remember how utterly miserable those first eight weeks of basic training was .... why stay?
THAT'S the "long-term damage" that worries me.
And I doubt that changing the attire to some new cutesy camo style will help that situation at all. Changing to the li'l French sock cap didn't seem to do it.

As usual rr your right again. If they let this jack wagon off scott free they are setting themselves up for complete break-down of morale in the military. Even new uniforms will not help this one.

Military veteran retiring after 40 years of dedicated service..
The Marine Corps retires its last UH-1N Huey Helicopter.
The veteran "Twin Pack" Huey is being replaced by an all new twin engine that can carry more weight for longer distances more economically...
http://www.janes.com/article/42729/u...m-usmc-service
Still, that vet soldiered on doing more missions than its inventors thought it could.
Those Marines took a plow horse and turned it into a decent quarter horse..

Another Marine retirement:
1st of the Ninth Marine Battalion casing its colors... They were in Guam, IWO JIMA, then Vietnam and Iraq.. I knew them because of their nickname and because Uncle Frank had mentioned he was in it in WW2...
It's why I never became a Marine
The Marines have retired the "Walking Dead". They had so many losses in WW2 other units gave them the name..

Marines have always seemed to respect their past! Most folks I've ever known that where Marines had wanted to be in the Corps their whole lives. They never really seem to have a problem recruiting new folks.

This is getting scary that we keep bringing folks here that have the ebola virus, someone is going to make a mistake and we will have a big problem.

Talking about a bad decision, saw the video of the South Carolina trooper who shot an unarmed man who turned to get his wallet out of his car.. Oh he shot him in the back.
Totally wrong decision trooper. Poor guy was being stopped for a seat belt violation.
See not using seat belts is dangerous..
Announced today the homeless woman in California who savagely beaten by a CHP on the side of a roadway and put on YouTube was awarded 1.5 Million.
Wonder what a 9mm bullet to the hip costs?

Since I'm the conspriacy theorist on here.....I think their going to spray in all over us from planes and take us to the FEMA camps to die. The "elite want the population reduced now! They added "2014" to the Georgia guidestones....could this be it?

Concise and cogent....
(?)
Anyway:http://www.duffelblog.com/2014/09/ob...s-west-africa/
Ebola vaccine is dried up, yet 3,000 american troops are heading into harms way.
So far we've sent 500 american feet on the ground to bolster the morale of Iraqi troops whose fight or flight reaction is flawed. Even Bob Hope couldn't help their morale.
It was a bad decision with the vaccine, without the vaccine its a disaster of Titantic proportions. And Iraq still has not signed a Status of Forces agreement, meaning American troops would be subject to Sharia law..
"iceberg dead ahead!"

Seriously,
It's been three weeks
Where's the report on the Deserter?
Can't wait to see how this administration is gonna spin this one...
The only clear action is to strip him of his rank, all back pay and boot him with
The Big Chicken Dinner,
*Bad Conduct Discharge.
No benefits (Ever!) cause there are appeals processes that can turn it into a other than honorable with limited benefits..
Personally
I'd rather see the punk Eddie Slovik'ed
Blindfold and firing squad.
I'm Sure the 25th would do it again.
Their patch is known as the bloody bucket cause of that.
Any day now as it winds it way through Washington corridors of power
Amended, re-written, stapled, folded and mutilated...
Anyday now we find what gutless wonders the military brass have become..
--------
Update:
This just in,
Marines don't have a problem with their Deserter
Semper Fi!
