Sure, they do need to conduct an investigation and recoup any funds that were paid that shouldn't have been. If they do it I will be shocked, because the government is bad about saying they will do an investigation and then they disregard.

I know a couple that were overpaid through no fault of their own. I read about some other cases on the net.
If the government owes you money, so sorry it may take a while before they can pay you. BUT if you owe them, don't worry they will just take it from your bank or your wages.

They don't want the American people to find out how bad the fraud really is when it comes to Social Security.

Sure, the Congress has been stealing SS funds for many many years. And now we wonder why that SS Lock Box is out of money. I always got ticked whenever I heard one of them call it the SS Lock Box, because we all know how much BS that is.

IF the people that work for SS would actually do their job and check out the applicants there would be less overpayments. They have all of our information and know what mom had for breakfast. Why can't they tell **** and Jane that they do not qualify for SSI or a disability?

I just applied and first thing I was told is they will hold the first months check ???? They have been holding my money since I was 16. Why do they need to hold the first months. Not like I will be around to receive the last one... They also will take away one dollar for every three you make over an amount they have set..... Sounds like a rip off once more...

Are they holding the first check for their coffee and donuts? LOL They do what they want with YOUR money. Please, check and make sure they figured it right (if you can figure out how they do that). Avoid any overpayment!
