Mcfly, what's the name of Bill Debo's shop down in Devil's Elbow? I'd think this would be pretty tame for him. We did a sign for him, but danged if I can remember what the name was!

That sure sounds right .... I'll try to remember to check when I get to work, and get the number on here. The problem B hix is working on involves non-stock (hot rod) electrical parts and schematics, and Debo has years of specialized experience in just that.

Hi everyone - thanks for the replies and attention.
The vehicle isn't running as I cant get the distributor/msd/coil, etc to play nice - no spark. It's garage kept, at my home in St. Bob - so I'd ask whoever wanted to tackle it to come over. The entire front end is off of the vehcile, so all components etc are very accessable. It'll be an easy job for someone experieced in these things - my feelings are a bit hurt as I have played with old vehicles for years and never had this problem, but this is my first Chevy and it's not playing nice - I'll glady pay for the insult of a pro making me look like a goof ![]() The engine, distributor, coil, alternator and starter are all new and I have a reasonably high reading level - I think the directions are wrong ![]() Need to get this thing cranked so I can continue the project and after a cpl months of cussing at it it still refuses to cooperate ![]() |

I could help ya out with that one...but if I were you, Id have an msd coil waiting in the glovebox for the impending failure of that accel coil
![]() I'm assuming this is a big cap HEI instead of the fuel injected type small cap. also, what type msd ignition? 6al?
