The Author of One Second After and now One Year After.

Cannot recommend his One Second After highly enough...
Really
Iran and Korea have a small nuclear arsenal. And both forgo submarine launched intercontinental ballistic missiles as well as bomber aircraft for delivery of these small yield nuclear devices. Yet if looked at the missiles launches of both countries have produced orbital satellite capable missiles.

The answer then is an electromagnetic pulse caused by the orbital detonation of a nuclear device over a target country.

One low yield device could destroy a city like New York, a large Portion of Los Angeles or Chicago..

But one detonated in orbit over the east coast could stop electric motors and destroy power grids, communication nets and computers all the way to the Mississippi River for a very long time. It could take a decade to replace everything the pulse destroys..

Nobody in the administration talks about this danger..
*We took a lot of Baghdad's electrical network down by using graphite ribbons to short their power grid in the first Gulf. It created havoc and was very effective in causing confusion among both the populace and military..*

One Second After deals with a very small college town and its inhabitants...

So what would happen to you, your friends and neighbors? Trying to just find food and trying to provide and preserve enough to keep them alive as hungry mobs move out of the riot ravaged big cities in search of food...

I'm gonna start One Year After today..

The current administration may not talk about this in public but behind the closed doors it has been talked about for the past 14 years and some plans have been made.

Hardening of power plants? Nothing's been done, the line in transformers will melt, every block in town has one and none are protected.
Started the Year After. And brudda it's scary.
