When Popeye's had a store on St Robert Blvd. next to the Fast Lube place across from Mobile on the Run it's main problem was....to hard to get in and out of their parking lot, being located on a curve it was hard to see the traffic coming at you and it was hard to get a break in traffic to enter or exit safely.
I never tried them because of the location....they say in Real Estate...location, location, location!!! It really applied to them at the Blvd.store.

You really have to try their chicken Rudy..get it in spicy...I'd love to have the red beans and rice side dish, but the sausage in it wouldn't work with my allergy.

I like Spicy foods and Cajun is one of my favorites next to Tex-Mex...yum yum!
Being a civilian it's not easy to get on and off FLW, last time I took my passport with me to get on base since they don't accept Missouri drivers license.

Yeah, I don't understand the "logic" behind that bit of bureaucratic stupidity.

They have had business come and go on FLW because there just isn't enough customers to keep them a float but the command always wants these stores on base.
In the real world companies do a demographic survey to see if there investment will pay back and how long it will take to get out of the red before they move into a new market but some want on a particular base or government location that they will open a loser location in hopes of getting the other, known as a loss leader.
When I worked for a large clothing company in the 70's we had stores in large cities that were loss leaders because the Mall's were owned by the same company and they demanded you to be in all of their locations or not at all, just like the government.

Yeah, the chicken is great. We have had several meals there since they opened and look forward to more in the future. It's nice to finally have a chicken place. I heard the previous Popeyes was trying to buy chicken from outside sources and the company put a stop to that. Don't know if that's true, but its what I've heard. And yes, the location was bad for sure. Concerning the drivers license, it has something to do with how they are made or something like that. There are several states with the same problem and yes, it does make getting on post difficult. They also have that new Mexican place that replaced the Taco Jones in the old PX. I have heard they build burrito's for you with the stuff you want on it. Haven't gone yet, but have heard it's pretty good.
