Default Dodge Ram

Don't know if I mentioned it here... the 3.0 l turbo diesel in my 1500 is under investigation by the EPA for having an algorithm in its computer designed to trick EPA emissions testing, Same as VW.
So if it holds as is and VW is doing this already...

I'll have a couple of choices,
1. reprogramming which will sink my MPG and exhaust the diesel emission fluid at an alarming rate.
2. Trade the diesel truck for a less expensive [my truck loses trade in value] dodge truck.
3. Get my trade in back in cash then Kelly Blue Book the trucks current value.

I think #3 which Ram will fight tooth and nail in court, the longer the case, the less they have to pay out
2 is not an option I refuse to deal with a company who promises great mileage and cheats to do it, then hoses over the trucks owners for its own profit.
In other words I've paid more money for less truck.

#1 is not gonna happen, I'd rather get a v6 gas engine.

As it is now the EPA caught the algorithm, but has to decide if dodge meant to do it on purpose. If it decides it did then the FTC starts the legal case for damages..

It'll be years, the truck will be paid off and everyone will die of noxious gases emitted by my truck. I'll be so broken I'll probably buy a GMC...
Lol

Well, I've been driving this "rice burner" your words since Oct 2001 and love this truck. Sure, I've recently put some money into it, but it's a great driving truck and I've never felt taken by the company I bought if from. I hope you figure it out and don't get taken too badly.

Update, EPA finally sues dodge, Chrysler, Fiat and Bosch for cheating on EPA testing.
Once settled FTC will enact financial payments for reimbursement to owners.

I've been polluting the environment worse than all the Chinese factories in Shanghai.
Maybe Trump should send all the Ram Diesels to Paris as a door prize for pulling out of O's signature edict....
Woot.

The vehicles are to large to go down many of the streets in France so he would have to send just the engines or the French would want the U.S. to build them new roads. LOL!

Isn't that the fact. I laughed when the Germany Chancellor gave the speech about they will have to take care of themselves. OMG, they have been screwing the U.S. for decades on NATO. I'd tell them to either pay up ASAP or we are popping smoke and the heck with them. The Paris agreement was another deal just like NATO, we pay most of the cost and get zero in return. Go Trump.

The liberals and news media bad mouth Trump for getting us out of a financial mess, does anyone really think that China and other communist countries are going to worry about the climate or smog.
The people in Europe need a history lesson in how the U.S. saved their bacon during WW2 but we didn't plan on spending the U.S. citizens tax money forever to help the rest of the world out, regardless who is president and his pet project that he is pushing.

Don't forget WW1 also,
And
Just in case anyone has forgotten...
We still have troops in occupation rotation in the former Yugoslavia.
The one wild bill Clinton said we'd be out of in just a year..

Uh huh...like the whopper I was told going to Somalia
It's just a police action we might only take pistols

And then I thought to myself:

I can fit a privately owned rifle and ammo into my duffle bag, right?

That's right, WWI and WWII. Then several years back when Clinton wanted to bomb Libya, all of NATO voted to go after them. Well within 48 hours they (the rest of NATO) were out of bombs and we funded the whole operation as usual. Well, we have done that to ourselves for decades, but we really need to change how we deal with Europe from now on.
