Default Technology.....

Jeez Marie, sometimes I wonder if I'll ever get ahead of technology....

I'm still learning things about my IPad, iPhone, AppleTV and how they are integrated
Just found out that my TV can act as a monitor to both my IPhone and IPad.
I was using an Apple TV module to access Hulu, youtube and Netflix.....and put it up on the TV

I also have the sound going through the stereo system....

I started looking through YouTube videos on setups and discovered that the TV can be used to mirror what is on both my IPad and IPhone so after two hours of starts and stops I figured it out...

Only been a year and a half and I'm still learning the technology.....
I got it all to play my ITunes through the stereo, access my laptop photos and music... That alone took a month....

Now I have a 55 inch computer screen....
No need for glasses!

Next....

Chevrolet engine diagnostics...
I hear there's a market out there...

Hahahaha - I don't even remember. I had a policeman stop me several years ago, and during the conversation he asked me if I'd had anything to drink .... I said just a couple of beers - 35 years ago. LOL (he was only moderately amused)

Oh no...
I've gone over to the darkside...

I'm tired of fried motherboards, HEWLETT PACKARD support forums and windows security updates that take a week to download....

Sigh

I resisted for three decades.... Bu the small skirmishes have turned the tide..
First an IPhone... Phone, browser, email and apps... In that small a package?

Then
An IPad, which I've used mainly for two years instead of either the windows desktop and laptop......

So when it came time to get a computer that used a DVD......
ARRRGHHH damn you in eternity Steve Jobs!
Yes I went with a MiniMac... Lets see how it goes,
Will be reading everything then setting it up later tonight...

I hope my kids don't find out
I have my pride......

Update: well it's tiny.. a 7.8 inch square and an inch and a quarter high...
wireless keyboard and mouse are also small yet responsive.
for having only 4gb of memory its handled word processing and spreadsheet well.
the operating system (Mountain Lion) is quirky but is easy to learn.
connections are limited to an HDMI cable out for video theres an included adapter for DVI monitors, four USB hubs a firewire (wow thats a old weird connection) port as well as a NIC port for internet but since it contains an internal wireless connection I've left mine open..
software is inclusive but oh my the initial uploads to both software and operating
system took forever...I've attached a DVD recorder drive via one USB port.

all in all a rather compact capable system that has attached a capable internet browser, music program, email, word processor and computer to the current entertainment center...

ARRRGHHH, the more I become dependent on these stupid devices....
So the other day I uploaded the latest operating system for both IPad and IPhone.
And my IPad lost all its history and bookmarks and so I had to type in name and passwords to enter sites... And the history wouldn't hold. Neither would the bookmarks..
I click on it and nothing was in the bookmarks? Huh?

This morning I noticed that there's a separate history and bookmark file in the memory...
Voila... So I'm back onto speed dialing...wonder how that happened?
I can find anything on a windows machine but this here apple company is devious...
