Default Nevada Solar debacle

Oh wow, Nevada Gov, signs bill cancelling subsidies to solar homeowners. Retroactively causing up to three hundred percent N tease in their utilities!

Oh brother.... I'd be up in arms if I spent all those thousands to be told it's useless and you can't go off grid selling excess...

I'd be ticked for sure. I recently had a solar system installed on my house as well. We have been seeing $18.00 bills, but my last one was $40.00 due to all the cloudy days this past month. I don't see how they can do such a thing and get away with it. I pay to the electric company, so I also pay for the lines, just not as much as almost everyone else.

I thought Harry Reid was working on a huge solar field farm for Nevada, is there bad politics at play in the state?

If they want people to go solar they MUST make it worth people's time and money. Doing this is really stupid. Who would do it if they get treated like that? I only hope they don't try that here in MO.

They ARE working on solar farms here in Missouri.

And wind farms - same issues - not economically viable without huge infusions of taxpayer fuel ... errr, money, that is. The gub'mint considers money just another "renewable resource".

We have a solar farm being developed in Waynesville, off of H highway by the city of Waynesville.

I need to check that out. Is it in the new industrial park by the water tower?

Guess I was confused on the location, I'd swear the little news release that comes with the utility bill said it was going to be off H hwy.
