Another ten leaving Gitmo... Had to give 50 Million In arms to a dirt poor country to take them.
(Oman) which border Yemen which is an Al Queda run country and is at war with Saudi Arabia
One of them was responsible for the deaths of 19 sailors n the USS Cole, procuring the explosives and providing intelligence on the ships movements..
*}^#^}*}>}!
why isn't THAT S.O.B. swinging?
Spineless AND Narcissistic
What a combination....
Why didn't the military try that guy?
???? Come to think of it????
Have they ever tried any of them?
Glad I asked that question...
Update:
Three detainees have been convicted by military court of various charges:

David Hicks, an Australian citizen, was found guilty in a plea bargain, of providing material support for terrorism in 2001, according to his military lawyer under retrospective legislation introduced in 2006.[196][197] On 18 February 2015, David Hicks' appeal against his conviction was upheld by the United States Military Commission Review and his conviction was overturned.[198]
Salim Hamdan was convicted of being Osama Bin Laden's chauffeur.[199] After his release, he appealed his case. On 16 October 2012, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit vacated Hamdan's conviction, on the grounds that the acts he was charged with under the Military Commissions Act of 2006 were not, in fact, crimes at the time he committed them, rendering it an ex post facto prosecution.[200]
Ali al-Bahlul was convicted of making a video celebrating the attack on the USS Cole (DDG-67).
Three minor convictions two of which were overturned on appeal...
Fifteen years? To bust three? All of whom have been released?

When obama made his little special speech about his new executive action for gun control after he had met with his puppet attorney general and the news media went wild with the story, what they didn't report much about was the seventeen prisoners that were released from gitmo the same day.
Funny how they pull that off so the American people are kept in the dark, I heard just a small blurb on Fox news and all they wanted to talk about was the fearless leader and his pen verses the constitution.

Just torques me off...
And
Another thing
I'm no Magellan
But the map I saw has the destination as due south south east
keeping the sun to the front left of the boat in the morning and on the rift rear n the afternoon
Not straight into the sun which was east and where Iranian territorial waters were.
Which was where they were "rescued"?

Navigation 101 even Army Privates can find and move to the principal compass points.
Not ever trusting GPS, the first gulf had commercial units that were totally unreliable in heat, dust and low battery
Conditions...

Research: celestial navigation stopped being taught at the Naval Academy in 1998. Was recently (2015) initiated again.. It's not map and compass but a higher form of navgation.
It will get you to within 1.5 miles of a point and requires a sextant, map and math tables.
*And it also requires a better understanding of map and compass work.

And might help you keep on the proper side of enemy lines? Of course, there's always the possibility, given recent foreign policy shifts by the administration, that the boys on the boats thought the Iranians were all buddies now, anyway, and it'd be fine to play in one another's yards.

The basics need to be taught to kids when they are first starting school, learning to tell time without a digital clock, tying shoe laces instead of Velcro, and the military needs to teach how to use a Compass and read a map.
Having the latest and best technology devices is great but if they break or get lost you better be able to know how to get by without them.

Too funny the middle kid in grade school kept being late to classes
When I sat him down after threat of suspension...
He admitted... He couldn't read an analog clock and was always embarrassed to ask...
10 minutes later
He had no excuses for ever being late..

To me it was a valuable lesson. Never assumed the routine tasks are being taught in school.
His digital alarm clock and watch had covered for his dyslexic time view...
Sigh... Parenting.. Rule one
It's always your fault...
Lol

Obama is determined to clean out and close Gitmo. He could care less what anyone says.

Wow.. Idiot in Command..
I'm really embarrassed some private, specialist or sergeant didn't step up and say..
"You can't do that!"
It's not a damn hunting trip, it's a training mission for war...
Grrrr.
