Default Wanted: Mechanical Help - SB Chevy

Offering a 'reward' to someone highly experienced with the following:

SB Chevy Distributor (HEI) with Accell Coil Installation
Connecting to a MSD ignition
Wiring to the starter
Wiring to the alternator

Working on first ever chevy () 'hot rod' and have run into some problems here - probably an easy thing for someone familiar with the above - if you can help me solve these 'challenges' so the motor cranks I'll gladly pay you for your time - fee negotiable before work performed.

!st come first serve, but help me figure this out!

Mcfly, what's the name of Bill Debo's shop down in Devil's Elbow? I'd think this would be pretty tame for him. We did a sign for him, but danged if I can remember what the name was!

I'd recommend the doorbell or a phone call .... he doesn't like having his house stonged .... might get ya off on the wrong foot.

That sure sounds right .... I'll try to remember to check when I get to work, and get the number on here. The problem B hix is working on involves non-stock (hot rod) electrical parts and schematics, and Debo has years of specialized experience in just that.

Hi everyone - thanks for the replies and attention.

The vehicle isn't running as I cant get the distributor/msd/coil, etc to play nice - no spark. It's garage kept, at my home in St. Bob - so I'd ask whoever wanted to tackle it to come over.

The entire front end is off of the vehcile, so all components etc are very accessable.

It'll be an easy job for someone experieced in these things - my feelings are a bit hurt as I have played with old vehicles for years and never had this problem, but this is my first Chevy and it's not playing nice - I'll glady pay for the insult of a pro making me look like a goof

The engine, distributor, coil, alternator and starter are all new and I have a reasonably high reading level - I think the directions are wrong (humor)

Need to get this thing cranked so I can continue the project and after a cpl months of cussing at it it still refuses to cooperate

I could help ya out with that one...but if I were you, Id have an msd coil waiting in the glovebox for the impending failure of that accel coil

I'm assuming this is a big cap HEI instead of the fuel injected type small cap. also, what type msd ignition? 6al?
