Default Today's parents?

I don't think this had anything to do with a cell phone.

Mom's cop husband crossed the line.

Nothing, n o t h i n g, would keep me from having a relationship with my daughter.

Might be one of the reasons they are divorced.

Even though mom and dad are divorced they both should have had the kids welfare in mind and they should teach the girl right from wrong, dad may be extreme in keeping the phone but calling the cops on him for theft was over the line,IMO.
Mom should have reasoned with her ex husband and put together a plan of discipline with him for their daughter.
I guess one question is who pays for the phone each month?

Many divorces just cause to many problems between the husband and wife and they just blow everything up. It's crazy.

Damn..
Hey it's her wish.
Adios.
Mom and step dad sure didn't help.
Wait till it's their turn.

The mother and stepfather have made it clear where they stand, and it's obviously a pretty easy road for the daughter. Looks like Daddy may as well say goodbye for now, maybe for good. Just a really ugly situation, with NO possibility of a "good" outcome.

That's right, because their turn WILL come. This enabling will surely come home to roost.

I imagine mommie has bought the girl the newest and latest cell phone on the market which she would have wanted even if dad hadn't taken the other one away(spoiled) Karma may show up one day when she is driving and texting at the same time and has a car accident.
