Whenever I reply to a post and add smileys, my post disappears not be ever found again! what am I doing wrong?

uhhh, dont add smileys? hehe seriously i dont know whats going on there. i would hesitate to suspect a problem with the board since everyone uses smileys on here. try it without smileys, what happens?

Could it have anything to do with the miscellaneous option below the message box which offers to disable smileys for you? If that were ever to accidentally get checked, does it stay checked until you un-check it?

If you check it, does it recheck itself, or do you have to check if you've checked it or if it's unchecked while you were checking?
