Homemade Beef-a-roni
1 cup dry macaroni 6 - 8 slices bacon, cut in chunks 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 onion, coarsely chopped 1/2 green pepper, chopped 1 small can tomato sauce (8 ounces) splash or two of worcestershire sauce 1/2 inch slice Velveeta, diced (I use store brands - half the price) salt & pepper to taste Cook macaroni until al dente; drain. Cook bacon until almost crisp; add ground beef, onion & green pepper - cook until beef is browned. Spoon off excess grease. Add macaroni, tomato sauce, Velveeta, wooster & seasonings. Mix together gently & warm until cheese melts. (or if you get in a hurry like I did tonight, just start with cooking the bacon, meat, etc., then add the tomato sauce etc., but fill the tomato sauce can with water & add that too. Bring to boiling and stir in the dry macaroni. Cover & cook 8-10 minutes until liquid is absorbed. After that add the diced cheese & heat until it melts.) Even then I didn't get it fixed quickly enough & my hermit sidekick over here found some sauerkraut & kielbasa in the fridge to assuage his hunger . . . ![]() ![]()

Check your blood sugar before eating some and check it again about two hours after eating is what the doctors have told me to follow if I am not certain about some foods.
